Many friends preparing for UPSC CS exams generally ask one common question “which books are good for a fresher to start the preparation with?”. The list of books is endless, some topics are good in one book other is in another. You need to read anything you think it’s worth reading. Here I am listing down some must have kind of books, mentioning this list is not complete and perfect. I will keep updating this list as I learn more.In first few weeks of preparation:

  1. Banks were were nationalised two phases in 1969&80.SBI&Associates were not in that list,when the sbi&associates were nationalised?

  5. I have completed B.A and i am intrested in indian army,can you please tell me that whether i am eligible for NDA or not,if yes then what is the procedure to apply for NDA.

    1. Yes, you were eligible for NDA when you have cleared your 10+2. NDA age limit is 16+ till 21.

      However you can apply for CDS (Maths at 10+2 level required) or OTA no compulsion of mathematic exam. Age limit 19-24 Years for Indian Military Academy, 19-25 Years for Officers’ Training Academy

  8. Dear sir I have completed my graduation in the year 2010 but the problem is that my certificate age is different from my actual age to join any of the ias or ips service. But because of it I m little confused about my future. I am interested in government area so that what should that I have to do for get selecting in.

    they are getting confused because of what to study and what to skip.
    there should be a strong decision.main function of a civil servant is taking a proper decision so we have to start now itself,do not study all subjects together try to be strong what you study.
    I am strongly recommend which i am studying tata mcgraw hill csat books,8th to 12 ncert books and manorama yearbook As well news
    paper’s especially Hindu and Deccan chronicle.
