Prahlad Narayan Meena is a 2012 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Uttarakhand cadre. Hailing from Rampura village in Rajasthan, he overcame significant personal and financial hardships to achieve his dream of joining the civil services. His father, Kanaram, worked as a watchman in Jaipur, and his mother supported the family after his father's untimely demise in 1995. Despite early academic struggles, Prahlad pursued higher education, earning a B.A. and B.Ed., and worked as a Trained Graduate Teacher in English in Delhi before clearing the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2011 with an All India Rank of 615. As an IPS officer, he has served in various challenging assignments, including as Superintendent of Police in Rudraprayag and Senior Superintendent of Police in Almora and Nainital.
